A thread ring gage is used to check acceptance and the pitch diameter of an external thread on a workpiece, and is available as a GO-ring gauge or NOGO-ring gauge. The NOGO gauge is marked with a red cirkel. In order for the workpiece to pass inspection and be accepted, the GO-ring must be able to pass through the entire length of the thread without using excessive rotational force. If this is not possible, the thread does not meet the required standards. The NOGO-ring must not be able to be turned manually more than two turns on the thread (without using a large rotational force). If the error ring can be turned further down over the thread, the thread does not meet the desired tolerance/standard. The reference temperature for parts and gauges is 20° Celsius. A calibration certificate can be offered for all sizes and types of gauges upon request (price on request).
